5 Things You Need to Know Today: Nov. 12
Food truck event at Calabasas High, the Calabasas Day Hikers meet and weekly farmers market.
- Sample offerings from a wide array of food trucks during CHOMP at Calabasas High School. The fundraiser, which will also feature live music, is being held from 1-9p.m.
- Join the Calabasas Day Hikers for a hike today along the Calabasas Secret Trail. Meet up is at 9 a.m. at the east side of Mulholland Highway between mile marker 27.42 and 27.53 (0.5 miles south-west of Dry Canyon Cold Creek Road).
- Today is the last day for in-person registration for the annual Calabasas Classic 5K and 10K runs. Registration is being held at from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- It's Saturday once again and that means it's time for the weekly Calabasas Farmers Market. Stop by Calabasas Road just west of El Canon Avenue between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and check out dozens of vendors selling everything from fruits and veggies to meat and desserts.
- There's a 60 percent chance for showers today with a high of 66, according to the National Weather Service.
