5 Things You Need to Know Today: July 21

Farmers market, e-waste round-up and a free screening of 'Tangled.'

  1. It's Saturday once again and that means it's time for the weekly Calabasas Farmers Market. Stop by Calabasas Road just west of El Canon Avenue between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and check out dozens of vendors selling everything from fruits and veggies to meat and desserts.
  2. Got some old tech devices that need dumping? A monthly e-waste collection  event will be held at the Vons at 23381 Mulholland Dr. on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Acceptable electronics include televisions, cell phones, personal computers, light bulbs, copiers, fax machines, laptops, mainframe computers, microwave ovens, and printers. Please do not bring hazardous waste.
  3. The Valley Cultural Center's Movies on the Green series features a free screening of Disney's Tangled at 7 p.m. Saturday at Warner Center Park, at Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Califa Street.
  4. More than 25 vendors will bring there treasures, including linens, shabby rustic, cottage chick and French style decor, to a shady park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 19130 Ventura Blvd., Tarzana. Admission is $2.
  5. Today will be hot with a high of 96, according to the National Weather Service.
