5 Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 7

Cyberbullying workshop, shop and donate to local schools and open jam night at Sagebrush Cantina.

  1. Parents and teens can learn how to deal with cyberbullying during a special workshop at at 7 p.m. Eva Vega-Olds and Matt Friedman, director and associate director of A World Difference Institute, will speak at the event. RSVP by email to Susie Stark, or call 818-880-4880.
  2. Shop at the through Dec. 24 and 5 percent of your purchase could go toward the school of your choice. Just scan and fax your receipt to shopforyourschool@carusoaffiliated.com. Make sure to indicate which school you want your donation to benefit. Checks will be mailed to schools in January.
  3. Bring your guitars, vocals, picks and drum sticks to the Sagebrush Cantina at 8:30 p.m. for open jam night.
