5 Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 26

Free Christmas tree-pick up, library and city hall closures and a reminder for a Hanukkah celebration.

  1. The city of Calabasas is offering a free daily Christmas tree pick-up service for two weeks following the holiday. Trees must be cut into three-foot pieces and placed inside a green recycling bin. Wreaths can also be recycled. Click here for more instructions.
  2. Don't forget! Celebrate the final night of Hanukkah at the on Tuesday with a menorah lighting event capped off with a fireworks show. The free event begins at 6:30 p.m. and is hosted by the Calabasas Shul.
