Hello! My name is Leslie Oliver and
I’ve been caring for children since the age of 13. I obtained my master’s degree in Education from Ohio State University in 1997, and worked as a school teacher for several years.
Children are my life. I enjoy watching them learn and grow. It’s extremely rewarding to watch children learn and flourish. The children who attend my daycare are fluent in American Sign language, which I began teaching them since the age of 4 months. I started my own family daycare a year ago, and it’s the best career choice I could have made. On a daily basis, we read books, have outdoor time, take nature walks and have craft-time. The children are eating nutritious and healthy meals and snacks, and are socialized with other children their age throughout their day. I’m also a member of the Ventura Food Program, which means while in my care your children will be fed nutritious and healthy meals and snacks at no additional cost to you.
I knew at a very young age, that I always wanted to care for children. My degree in education allows me to be able to educate and teach the children in a small environment where they are receiving undivided and special attention, which studies show improve a child’s aptitude for learning.
