Gas Prices Stay Steady in Calabasas

The cheapest price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline in Calabasas on Friday is $3.98, one cent cheaper than the town's average a week ago, according to Gas Buddy.

In neighboring Woodland Hills, a gallon of regular unleaded costs $3.83.

The average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline in Los Angeles County fell for the fifth consecutive day on Friday, dropping a half-cent to $3.95.

The county's average is 1.2 cents less than one week ago but 24 cents more than one month ago and 98.1 cents higher than at this time last year, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price for the year in Los Angeles County is $3.84, matching the average from Jan. 1-Sept. 15, 2008, when the average rose to a record high, said Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
