Gas Prices Continue to Drop

Prices at the pump have dropped for more than a week throughout Los Angeles County.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell today for the eighth consecutive day, dropping 1.1 cents to settle at $3.805.

The cheapest gallon of unleaded gas in Calabasas costs $3.85 as of Friday, according to Gasbuddy.com.

The average price is 5.9 cents less than one week ago and 7.5 cents lower than a month ago but 65.2 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

"Southern California gas prices averages have remained above $3.75 a
gallon in most areas since the end of August,'' said Jeffrey Spring of the
Automobile Club of Southern California. "Heading into Thanksgiving week, at
least so far we are continuing to see daily price declines.''
