Taste of Malibu Set for Thursday
The wineries included in the event are Rosenthal Malibu Estate, Dolan, Hoyt, and Malibu Sanity.
Several Malibu wineries and restuarants will be at the center of the "Taste of Malibu" event at 6 p.m. Thursday at the .
The wineries slated to take part include Rosenthal Malibu Estate, ColCanyon, Dolan, Hoyt, and Malibu Sanity.
Ryan Steers of ColCanyon said the event will raise awareness about Malibu wines.

"At every tasting there are still people that come up to us and say 'Wow, I had no idea there were so many vineyards in Malibu,'" Steers told the Santa Monica Mirror. "Some wineries are importing a majority of their juice, but we focus on 100 percent locally grown estate fruit from the sunny hills of Malibu."
Chef Matthew Zubrod, of Malibu and Vine, and Chef Francesco Velasco, of Tra di Noi Malibu are expected to prepare dishes.

Tickets to the event, which is put on by the , cost $35 for general admission and $65 for VIP. They can be purchased online.
