Picnic des Chefs Returns for Fun and Dining Alfresco

Entering its 33rd year, Picnic Des Chefs brings together gourmet food, wine and entertainment into one great event for the whole family at Vasa Park in Agoura Hills.

The annual picnic is also a fundraiser for the HOPE Program at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

This year, 20 chef members will create their own unique dishes. There will be artisan breads, cheeses, savory meats, and an array of delicious dishes for guests to eat. There will also be over 50 wineries pouring their favorite selections for you to enjoy.

What's new this year is the theme of the cuisine, according to Kora Kroep, Executive Director of Club Culinaire.

“We changed the concept: we have asked each of our chefs to prepare their favorite Picnic dish instead of preparing dishes of the regions of France to mix it up a little," said Kroep. "I think the menu is going to be more interesting this way.”

The event takes place on four park-like acres and is extremely kid-friendly (including a moon bounce paradise, heated swimming pool with a giant waterslide, rock climbing wall, drawing competition and games).

Adults can also relax and play pétanque, soccer, volleyball, badminton and enter the raffle for a chance to win fun prizes.
