Jens Lindemann to Headline Calabasas Sun Sets Summer Concert

Renowned trumpeter and recent "International Brass Personality of the Year"  Jens Lindemann and his trio will present “An Evening of Jazz Classics” on August 26 at 6:00 p.m. as part of the Calabasas Sun Sets concert series. The concert, co-sponsored by The New West Symphony, will take place at Calabasas Lake adjacent to the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center.

 As one of the world’s most exciting trumpet soloists, Jens and his trio will perform an array of jazz classics and favorites. Lindemann has played in every major concert venue in the world: from the Philharmonics of New York, Los Angeles, London, and Berlin to Tokyo's Suntory Hall and even the Great Wall of China. His career has ranged from performing at London's “Last Night of the Proms”, recording with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, playing lead trumpet with the renowned Canadian Brass, to a solo Command Performance for the Queen of England. Lindemann has also won major awards ranging from Grammy and Juno nominations to winning the prestigious Echo Klassik in Germany as well as receiving an honorary doctorate.

This elite musical experience is free as part of the Sun Sets concert series. Seating is on grass and attendees are welcome to bring picnics, blankets and lawn chairs. The Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center is located at 23400 Park Sorrento, parking is available at the Swim Center and the Calabasas Inn.
