Volunteers will plant oak tress and native bunch grasses in the Santa Monica Mountains as part of National Service Day.
The service project will take place all day Saturday, Jan. 19, according to organizers.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, a hat, sunscreen, work gloves, water, snacks and a lunch.
Directions will be supplied upon RSVP at 323-761-0680, and only a limited amount of slots are available.
Saturday, Jan. 19 is National Service Day across the country, where thousands are expected to do good deeds for others.
