Read Your Way Through the Summer!

Head to the Calabasas Library for some good reads, great prizes and special shows this summer.

Summer days can be especially long. What's a better way to unwind after a tiring day at the beach or at the park? With a good book, of course.

Sign up starting today, read and earn a prize at the end of each week through August 12.

The summer reading program at the kicks off this Saturday at 1 p.m.  with "Buster the Balloon," a balloon comedy show.

All throughout the summer, there wil be special shows and programs for kindergartners to 5th graders on Wednesdays at 4 p.m.

Here's a few:

July 11 - Story Pirates - Improve Theater Group

July 18 - Franklin Haynes Marionettes

July 25 - Wild Wonders Animal Show
(Space is limited. There is also a 7 p.m. show for those who are unable to attend the 4 p.m. show.)

August 1 - Craig Newton - Music

August 8 - David Cousin - Juggling

For the preschool set, mark your calendars for the following Friday shows at 11 a.m.:

July 20 - Heebie and Jeebie - Musical Comedy Duo

August 10 - Wendee's Music for Kids
