Red Flag Warning Issued for Calabasas

Northeast Santa Ana winds with gusts up to 40 mph are expected Tuesday.

A red flag warning will go into effect Tuesday in the Calabasas area, according to the National Weather Service.

The red flag warning will begin at 4 a.m. and last through 6 p.m. Tuesday, forecasters warned.

Gusty northeast winds with gusts up to 40 mph and low humidity are expected, according to the NWS.

The winds will peak Tuesday morning and diminish by Tuesday afternoon. A wind advisory will be in effect 10 p.m. Monday through noon Tuesday.

A red flag warning means that if a fire breaks out, there could be a rapid spread and a threat to life and property, the NWS said in a statement.
