Presents its Annual Gandhi Day Celebration

 

CALABASAS (October 3, 2013) -- Reverend Dr. Jeffery H. Utter, keynote speaker, will address the attendees at the October 13, 2013, Ghandi Day Celebration held at the Simi Valley India Community Center, 1925 Royal Avenue, Simi Valley, California.

Dr. Utter will speak about Gandhi’s message of peace, love and justice. Dr. Utter is a graduate from the Harvard Divinity School and holds a Ph.D. in sociology of religion by Columbia University.  Among Dr. Utter’s many accomplishments, over the past several decades, is his active participation and outstanding leadership in the interfaith movement. He currently is the interim pastor of the Congregational church of Fullerton, United Church of Christ (UCC).

In addition, the Gandhi Day of Celebration will include Indian music, classical Indian dance, and a Bollywood dance followed by an Indian vegetarian dinner. Admission is free and no reservations are required.
