Hospice Volunteer Training this weekend in Topanga

Learn how to provide comfort and emotional support to home hospice patients at an intensive 16-hour course offered by Anam Cara the weekend of February 28-March 2 in Topanga. The hours are Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. and both Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The training is suitable for volunteers, professional end-of-life caregivers, and others wishing to provide terminally ill people with a peaceful, dignified end-of-life experience. The program may be used for continuing education credit for chaplains certified with the Board of Chaplaincy Certification Inc. Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion and, as desired, opportunities for being mentored and volunteering bedside.
