In a previous broadcast of Good Day LA, Barberie-Reynolds lamented the closures of restaurant and retailers Belle Grey, and . In that earlier video footage, Barberie-Reynolds claimed she was told by Commons shop owners that their rents were raised, and she was angry with Caruso for ruining her "stomping grounds" at the shopping center.
Caruso called in the show Tuesday morning to clarify that he did not raise rents on any of his retailers, and in Theodore's case, he lowered it.
