Closed PCH Lanes Near Malibu to Open During 405 Closure

The closure of a portion of the 405 Freeway and opening of the PCH lanes will take place July 16 and 17.

The following is an edited press release from the city of Los Angeles:

For the 405 Freeway closure from July 16-17, the city of Los Angeles Department of Public Works will temporarily remove concrete barriers (k-rails) that currently restrict one southbound lane of traffic along PCH between Temescal Canyon Road and Chautauqua Boulevard. All three southbound lanes in that area will be open during that weekend.

The k-rail is in place due to construction of the Proposition O Coastal Interceptor Relief Sewer project. Crews will re-open the  third southbound lane in time for the 405 closure, and following that weekend, the k-rails will return to the areas where there is still work to be completed.
