5 Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 11

Bake sale to benefit cancer research and farmers market.

 
  1. Calabasas High School's Cookies for Cancer club is selling cookies at the Albertsons on Agoura from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to help benefit cancer research.
  2. It's Saturday once again and that means it's time for the weekly Calabasas Farmers Market. Stop by Calabasas Road just west of El Canon Avenue between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and check out dozens of vendors selling everything from fruits and veggies to meat and desserts.
  3. Don't forget! A grand opening event is being held on Sunday for Salon NuuVo, located inside the Summit at Calabasas shopping center.
  4. A one-mile bird walk is being held at King Gillette Ranch on Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m. Program is free, parking is $7. Bring your own binoculars for the two-and-a-half hour event. 26800 Mulholland Hwy, Calabasas, CA.
  5. Today will be partly sunny with a high of 64, according to the National Weather Service.
